HARRISBURG, PA (June 29, 2016) – McNees Wallace & Nurick LLC is proud to announce that attorney Stephen J. Matzura has joined the firm’s Energy and Environmental Group, where he is working out of the Harrisburg office.
Since 2010, Matzura has been practicing environmental and energy law, advising energy-sector clients, manufacturers, and other businesses on a myriad of environmental issues. He has in-depth knowledge on issues including water and wastewater, hazardous and residual waste materials, oil-and-gas operations, workplace safety, and public utilities. Steve assists in identifying and addressing the environmental implications of real estate and business transactions. His litigation experience includes cases involving oil-and-gas lease disputes, breach-of-contract actions, personal-injury cases, and environmental claims. He has also handled issues involving government contracts and procurement, including bid protests and internal investigations.
Matzura received his J.D. from Widener University Commonwealth School of Law, graduating magna cum laude. He earned a B.A. in political science and geography from Bucknell University, cum laude.
He is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania; before the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit; and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.
He is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Environmental and Energy Law Section and the Dauphin County Bar Association. In addition, he is a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Harrisburg Young Professionals.
