On August 8, 2023, Sandy Garfinkel and Christina Duty, in partnership with the Diligent Institute, discussed the impacts upon the SEC disclosure filings by publicly traded companies resulting from the SEC’s brand-new cybersecurity rule, which was adopted on July 26, 2023. The rule now requires prompt reporting of material cybersecurity incidents, as well as annual reporting concerning corporate cybersecurity risk management and oversight.
