Schneider selected to receive the CPBJ 2018 Women of Influence Community Achievement Award

Harrisburg, Pa. – (April 10, 2018) Ivy Schneider, President of Helix Strategies, LLC, a subsidiary of McNees Wallace & Nurick LLC’s Community Networking Resources, has been selected to receive the 2018 Women of Influence Community Achievement Award by the Central Penn Business Journal.

The Women of Influence Awards honors established business leaders with proven track records of community service and business accomplishments, and who influence others through their personal successes and achievements.

Honorees are selected by a panel of independent judges. They chose 30 women based on five categories: career accomplishments, leadership, personal/business vision, community service, and mentoring. Three other women are chosen for the Lifetime Achievement Award, Woman to Watch Award and the Community Achievement Award.

Ivy works with nonprofits, community-based organizations, and social enterprises to raise funds and develop their leaders and programs. Ivy empowers volunteers and staff to lead their organizations to sustainable success by creating opportunities for them to have a deeper impact on the community.

Over the last 15 years, Ivy led campaigns, board development, donor and volunteer stewardship, and evaluation efforts for several community-based organizations in Central Pennsylvania. Her grant writing and fundraising labors alone secured millions of dollars for these organizations.

Ivy is a 2017 Winner of the Central Penn Business Journal’s Forty Under 40, a 2017 Winner of City and State PA’s 40 Under 40 Rising Stars, and a member of the Leadership Harrisburg Area Class of 2018. She edited three nonprofit textbooks and is a co-founder of two nonprofits, including the West Shore Young Professionals of which she is the current President. Ivy also serves on the West Shore Chamber of Commerce Board, York College Alumni Board, and the Mid Penn Bank Young Professional Advisory Board.

Ivy is currently an ABD and in the final stages of her Ph.D. program from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in Administration and Leadership Studies in the Nonprofit and Public Sectors. She earned her Master’s Degree from Shippensburg University and a Bachelor’s Degree from York College of Pennsylvania.
