McNees Attorney Rachel Hadrick Receives The Fund for Women & Girls’ 2019 Rising Philanthropists Award

HARRISBURG, Pa. – (October 28, 2019) McNees Wallace & Nurick LLC attorney Rachel Hadrick will be awarded The Fund for Women & Girls’ 2019 Rising Philanthropists Award, which recognizes a woman who has impacted local organizations and has distinguished herself as a leader in the South Central Pennsylvania community. Rachel will be presented with the honor at the Power of the Purse fundraiser in Harrisburg on Friday, November 8.
“Throughout the many years I have known Rachel, she has given generously to her community. She is a wonderful example of a woman leader and we are proud of how she has contributed to McNees’ long history of public service. The award is well-deserved,” said Kandice Hull, Chair of the McNees Litigation Practice Group.
Active in her community both professionally and personally, Rachel holds positions within the Pennsylvania Bar Association, participates with the Dauphin County Bar Association and spends her free time speaking to, mentoring and tutoring young women and girls. She serves on the Pennsylvania Bar Association Diversity Team, leads the PBA’s Minority Bar Committee Central PA Minority Law Day subcommittee and is on the Dauphin County Bar Association’s Equal Professional Opportunity Committee. Rachel has volunteered with the Jurist Academy (also leading an ad hoc committee to evaluate the viability of that program) and has served on the Board for Boys and Girls Club of Harrisburg.
Rachel is a Deacon at her church, is part of the organization’s praise team and volunteers as a member of Beat the Streets Ministries, which aims to show support for areas of the community hit hard by violence.
The Fund for Women & Girls is an initiative of The Foundation for Enhancing Communities (TFEC). Its goal is to broaden the awareness of and response to issues affecting women and girls through the power of collective philanthropy.
