Ade practices in the firm’s Energy & Environmental Group. His practice focuses on issues involving water, sewer, and stormwater utility services, as well as electricity, natural gas, and oil pipeline matters.
Ade counsels water, sewer, and stormwater clients on both regulatory and transactional matters, including ratemaking, intermunicipal agreements, regulatory compliance, and asset restructuring.
Ade also represents consumers of electricity and natural gas services in a variety of regulatory and transactional matters, including state and federal regulatory rate cases, power purchase transactions, and renewable energy projects. Ade has also counseled clients on state and federal regulation of oil and petroleum products pipelines.
Prior to joining McNees, Ade served as a prosecutor in the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission’s Bureau of Investigation and Enforcement (formerly, the Office of Trial Staff). As a PUC prosecutor, Ade participated in litigated and settled proceedings concerning water, sewer, electricity, and natural gas base rate filings.
Ade currently serves on the firm’s Hiring and Diversity Committees and is currently Chair of the Pro Bono Committee. In addition to his work with McNees, Ade serves as Board Secretary of the Vista Adult Services Organization, a non-profit providing developmental services for adults with autism.
