Profile

Alex Ahlbrandt concentrates her practice in the areas of healthcare and corporate law. Her healthcare practice includes working with healthcare providers through various transactional events, including merger and acquisitions, membership substitution, affiliations, and reorganizations, as well as counseling clients on HIPAA compliance, fraud & abuse, medical staff issues and other regulatory matters. Her corporate practice includes advising clients through mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and structuring, entity formation and other general corporate matters.

Outside of her work with the firm, Alex proudly serves as a director and secretary on the Board of Directors of Jessica & Friends Community, a faith-based nonprofit based in York, Pa., that provides services to individuals with intellectual disabilities.

Representative experience

• Represented longtime independent hospital client in its acquisition by WellSpan Health
• Represented longtime client in the acquisition, growth and eventual sale of its multi-facility drug and alcohol rehab business to a private equity buyer
• Represented physician groups in their sale of their respective surgery centers to private equity-backed buyer
• Represented longtime hospital client in the acquisition of hospitals, nursing homes and pharmacies/durable medical equipment suppliers.
