HARRISBURG, Pa. – (September 20, 2021) McNees Wallace & Nurick LLC is pleased to announce the addition of litigator Salvatore Sciacca to its office in Harrisburg.
Sciacca serves his clients tirelessly by building strong, trusting relationships, guiding them through each step of litigation and communicating often and honestly. He draws upon his experience with constitutional issues, complex commercial litigation, employment issues, civil rights cases and Social Security matters, among others, to provide detailed analysis, always striving to meet his clients’ objectives in a prompt and efficient manner.
For over 15 years, Sciacca has been a member of the Pennsylvania Army National Guard, serving as a Staff Sergeant and Chief of Section in Alpha Battery, 1st Battalion 109th Field Artillery Regiment. He deployed to Baghdad, Iraq, in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom from 2008 through 2009 as well as across Pennsylvania many times in support of missions for disaster relief, civil unrest and COVID-19.
“My military service taught me resilience and dedication, both of which I bring to bear on behalf of my clients,” Sciacca said. “I was injured in the Army and fought for six years to get the surgery I needed. That experience inspired me to become the advocate for my clients that I wish I had for myself.”
Before joining McNees, Sciacca was an extern and term clerk for Chief Magistrate Judge Susan E. Schwab of the U.S. Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania. He managed his portion of the docket, attended conference calls and hearings and drafted opinions and orders, as well as completed other tasks to support her courtroom.
Sciacca earned his Juris Doctorate from Widener University Commonwealth Law School, graduating cum laude. There, he was editor-in-chief of the Widener Commonwealth Law Review, president of the Widener Commonwealth Veterans Association and participated in the Moot Court Honor Society. Sciacca earned the Widener Commonwealth Law School Outstanding Service Award, Law Review Award for Distinguished Legal Scholarship and Best Student Article. He earned his bachelor’s degree in International Business, with a minor in Leadership, from the University of Scranton.
