McNees Attorney and Specialist Teach Subdivision and Land Development Course

HARRISBURG, Pa. – (July 17, 2018) McNees Wallace & Nurick LLC attorney, Jonathan Andrews, and land planning specialist, Chris Knarr, will teach a 3-night course on subdivision and land development for the Pennsylvania Municipal Planning Education Institute. It will be held at the Cumberland County Conservation District in Carlisle on July 19, July 26 and August 2.
The course titled “Subdivision & Land Development Review” will be an in-depth instruction meant for planning commissioners, local officials and others involved in the land development process. Andrews and Knarr will cover key points in the process, including regulation, ordinance standards, review procedures and project design techniques.
Jon is co-chair of the McNees Real Estate Group and practices in the Eminent Domain, Oil & Natural Gas and Pipeline & Oil/Gas Infrastructure Groups. He has experience in handling all forms of zoning relief, including special exceptions and conditional use. He also advises clients on requests for zoning amendments and challenges to existing ordinances. As a certified instructor for the Pennsylvania Municipal Planning Education Institute, he instructs planning commission members, zoning officers and other municipal officials on zoning, subdivision and land development matters.
Chris is a Land Planning Specialist in the McNees Real Estate Group focused on assisting commercial and residential clients and other landowners in a variety of matters before municipal planning commissions, governing bodies and zoning hearing boards. As a certified planner (American Institute of Certified Planners), building code official (Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry), and zoning officer (Pennsylvania Association of Zoning Officials), Chris’s work includes assistance with all forms of development approvals, zoning relief, as well as zoning amendments and challenges.
