Press Releases
HARRISBURG, Pa. – (July 8, 2020) McNees Wallace & Nurick LLC proudly announces its participation in the new Law Firm Antiracism Alliance. LFAA is a partnership of more than 185 law firms dedicated to addressing racial injustice through large-scale pro bono projects and using its position to advocate for change in laws and policies that encourage, perpetuate or allow racial inequality.
LFAA’s purpose is to leverage the resources of the private bar in partnership with legal services organizations to amplify the voices of communities and individuals oppressed by racism, to better use the law as a vehicle for change that benefits communities of color and to promote racial equity in the law.
The Alliance’s member firms will devote substantial pro bono resources to initiatives addressing systemic racism and understand their responsibility to increase diversity, equitable access to opportunities and inclusion of people of color within their ranks.
To prioritize the Alliance’s work, it plans to host a summit of key stakeholders facilitated by experts in the areas of racial justice and systemic project design.
At McNees, it is our experience that having a diverse group of professionals, increases the value of our law firm, strengthens our firm’s ability to attract talented individuals, and enhances our ability to retain and serve our clients.
