McNees IP Attorney to Lead Panel Discussion at Healthcare Conference

COLUMBUS, Oh. – (October 23, 2018) McNees Wallace & Nurick LLC attorney Diane Dobrea is slated to lead the panel discussion “Healthcare Start-ups and Spin outs” at the 2018 Research & Innovation in Healthcare Conference at Florida Hospital Nicholson Center in Orlando, Florida on Thursday, November 1, and Friday November 2, 2018.
The discussion, moderated by Diane, will focus on creating new start-up ventures within a Hospital organization to commercialize technologies and create alternate medical technology distribution opportunities based on hospital employee innovations. In particular, the panel will explore the requirements for successful introduction of a new medical technology into the market and related legal risks for hospitals and clinicians. The panelists will include Michael Schmidt of Orlando Health, Elliot Reed of Northeast Ohio Medical University, and Dr. Lisa Ferrara of the medical device testing firm, Orthokinetic Technologies.

Diane is in the McNees Intellectual Property Practice Group and works out of the Columbus, Ohio office. In her practice, she provides clients broad based strategic guidance on IP strategy and portfolio management.
