McNees, Harrisburg University and Whitaker Center to Feature Esports Industry Leaders at Seminar

HARRISBURG, Pa. – (July 23, 2018) McNees Wallace & Nurick LLC has partnered with Harrisburg University and Whitaker Center to host an Esports Seminar on Friday, September 7, 2018 at Whitaker Center in Harrisburg from 9 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.
The seminar, led by the McNees Esports Practice Group, will cover all things esports, including its legitimacy, its role in higher education, team ownership, gambling, and investing & sponsoring opportunities.
John Fazio, CEO of N3rd Street Gamers, will be the keynote speaker. Fazio will share his story of why he started his company, which hosts game tournaments and sponsors esports events. N3rd Street Gamers is described as a premier esports pipeline for developing competitors and where gamers become athletes.
James O’Connor, founder of the professional esports team Pittsburgh Knights, will serve as a panelist discussing team ownership. Fazio and O’Connor are both on the board of the Pennsylvania Esports Coalition, which is sponsoring the lunch at the seminar. The group made up of individuals from various areas within the esports industry is focused on growing esports across the state of Pennsylvania through advocacy, education and promotion.
Registration for the Esports Seminar costs $99. On-site registration and continental breakfast will be from 8:15 a.m. to 9 a.m.
