McNees’ Dana W. Chilson Elected to Board of Directors for the Girls on the Run

McNees Member Dana W. Chilson, was recently elected to serve a two-year term on the Board of Directors for Girls on the Run-Capital Area.
Dana is Chair of the Insurance group and also practices in the Litigation, Financial Services and Injunction Practice Groups. She represents commercial and business clients in a wide variety of disputes, including contract challenges and questions regarding shareholder and corporate rights. She also assists clients in obtaining and defending against injunctive relief, and analyzing their insurance coverages. Furthermore, she represents clients in loan and credit workouts, collections and bankruptcy.
Dana is a 2016 graduate of the Leadership Harrisburg Area Community Leadership Series. In 2015, she received the YWCA Tribute to Women of Excellence Award and is a 2016 Pennsylvania Rising Star®. Dana was also recognized as a Select Lawyer in 2014 and 2015. In addition, she is an active member with the United Way of the Capital Region’s Women’s Leadership Network.
Dana is a former extern to Chief Judge Yvette Kane of the United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.
Dana received her J.D. from The Dickinson School of Law of The Pennsylvania State University, magna cum laude and her undergraduate degree from Duquesne University. She is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania; before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and before the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Pennsylvania. She is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar and the Dauphin County Bar Associations.

Girls on the Run is an Independent Council of Girls on the Run International, which has a network of over 200 councils across the United States and Canada. Girls on the Run is a positive youth development program for girls in 3rd through 8th grade, teaching life skills through dynamic interactive lessons and running games.The program is offered at partner schools throughout Dauphin, Cumberland, and Perry Counties.
