McNees Chairman Emeritus Receives 2019 CPBJ Icon Honors Award

HARRISBURG, Pa. – (October 21, 2019) McNees Wallace & Nurick LLC Chairman Emeritus David Kleppinger is among the recipients of the 2019 Central Penn Business Journal Icon Honors award recognizing business leaders over the age of 60 who have left an indelible mark in their fields, and whose integrity, vision and selfless service have lifted up the Central PA community.
“David is without a doubt the epitome of servant-leader. He continues to be a major contributor to our organization and to our Central Pennsylvania community,” said McNees Chair Brian Jackson. “David has played an unprecedented role in the success and growth of McNees, all while honoring our profession and our firm by giving his time and talents in so many ways.”
From 2006 to 2018, David led McNees as Chairman and currently serves as Co-Chair of the McNees Strategic Solutions Group.
David has served on many organizational and non-profit boards including The United Way of the Capital Region, The Foundation for Enhancing Communities, Team Pennsylvania Foundation, Jonathan Eshenour Foundation and The Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry’s Board of Directors.
David is a member of The Pennsylvania State University Board of Trustees, and a member and past Chair of The Pennsylvania State University Political Science Department Board of Alumni Visitors.
David was named Central Penn Business Journal 2009 Executive of the Year. In 2018, he was the recipient of the Pennsylvania Bar Association Public Utility Law Section Christianson Award, which recognizes an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the development, improvement and advancement of the profession of public utility law.
David, along with 24 other Icon Honors award recipients, will be honored at a celebration in Harrisburg on Tuesday, December 17.
