McNees Chairman David M. Kleppinger Elected as First Vice Chair of The Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry’s Board of Directors

HARRISBURG, PA – McNees Wallace & Nurick LLC Chairman David M. Kleppinger was elected as the first vice chair of The Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry’s Board of Directors during the PA Chamber’s Annual Meeting, which was held December 1 at the Harrisburg Hilton.
Kleppinger was the PA Chamber’s vice chair since 2015.
Elected along with Kleppinger, The Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry’s Board of Directors also elected the following 2017 officers: ASK Foods, Inc. President and CEO Wendie DiMatteo Holsinger as PA Chamber Board Chair, who replaces Immediate Past-Chair Gary Langmuir, CEO of Wohlsen Construction; and AmeriHealth Casualty Insurance Company President and CEO Donald Liskay as vice chair.

On November 16, Kleppinger was unanimously confirmed as a member of The Pennsylvania State University Board of Trustees. He graduated from Penn State in 1977 Phi Beta Kappa with highest distinction. He earned his J.D. from Temple University School of Law in 1980 where he served as the Associate Pennsylvania Project Editor for the Temple Law Quarterly.
In addition to serving as Chairman at McNees, Kleppinger also serves as Chair of the Political Action Committee, and is an ex officio member of all other firm committees. He practices as a member of the Energy & Environmental and Government Relations practice groups and represents large commercial and industrial consumers of fixed utility services including electricity, natural gas, water/wastewater, and communications, as well as providers of these services.
Additionally, Kleppinger has served on many organizations and non-profits. He is a board member of The United Way of the Capital Region, including Chair in 2016 and Campaign Chair in 2013. He also is a past board member and chairman (2011-2012) of The Foundation for Enhancing Communities; the Vice Chair (2014-2016) for Team Pennsylvania Foundation; and a board member for the Jonathan Eshenour Foundation.
From 2013-2015, Kleppinger was the Chairman for the Pennsylvania State University, College of Liberal Arts Political Science Department, Board of Visitors, a Board in which he has served since 2008.
Kleppinger, who has been recognized by “The Best Lawyers in America” since 1991, resides in Hummelstown, PA with his wife, Joanne. He has two adult children and one grandchild.
