Attorneys from McNees Wallace & Nurick LLC will provide a labor law seminar for the Pennsylvania Society of Tax & Accounting Professionals (PSTAP) on November 22, 2016 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Eden Resort in Lancaster.
The seminar is entitled “Employment Law for Small Businesses” and offers two CPE credits for non-federal tax. Topics include Wage and Hour Update – including the new overtime regulations; Employee Handbook Update and Best Practices; Hiring and Firing Best Practices – including discussion of compliance pitfalls and non-compete 101; and Data Privacy and Security.
Leading the seminar from McNees will be attorneys Eric Athey, the co-chair of the Labor and Employment group; Denise Elliott, who will serve as Labor Law Section Chair for the Lancaster Bar Association in 2017; Devin Chwastyk, chairman of McNees’ Privacy & Data Security group; and Micah T. Saul, a member of the Firm’s Labor and Employment group.
Tickets for the seminar are $45 for PSTAP members, $55 for friends of members, and $65 for non-members. Registration for the event begins at 7 a.m. and includes a breakfast buffet.
