HARRISBURG, Pa. – (Monday, June 4, 2018) McNees Wallace & Nurick LLC attorneys Randy Varner and Paul Morcom are slated to present the newly released 16th Edition of “Assessment Law and Procedure in Pennsylvania” at PBI seminars later this month and in July in Pittsburgh, Mechanicsburg and Philadelphia.
Randy and Paul’s presentation on the new edition will provide lawyers, appraisers, civil litigators, as well as municipal and school board solicitors the ins and outs of real estate tax assessment in the Commonwealth.

For decades, “Assessment Law and Procedure in Pennsylvania” has been considered an asset to both law professionals and taxpayers. The 16th Edition is current through January 10, 2018.
The publication, including a thumb drive, is available for purchase on the Pennsylvania Bar Institute website for $109. The eBook is $79.
Randy is Co-Chair of the McNees State and Local Tax Practice Group. He represents commercial and industrial entities in all areas of state and local taxation, focusing on state corporate net income, capital stock/foreign franchise, sales and use, and gross receipts taxes, as well as local property taxes, including real estate assessment. He has extensive experience before the Pennsylvania Board of Appeals, Pennsylvania Board of Finance and Revenue, county boards of assessment appeals, and state and federal courts. In addition to PBI, he has lectured and written on tax-related topics for the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants, the Maryland Bar Association, the Ohio Manufacturers Education Council, the Institute for Professionals in Taxation, and State Tax Notes.
Paul is a member of the McNees State and Local Tax Practice Group. He represents commercial and industrial entities in all areas of state and local taxation, focusing on local property taxes and real estate assessment appeals, as well as state corporate net income, capital stock/foreign franchise, sales and use, PURTA, and gross receipts taxes. He has extensive experience before the Pennsylvania Board of Appeals, Pennsylvania Board of Finance and Revenue, county boards of assessment appeals, county courts of common pleas and the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania. He was recently named Chair of the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Tax Law Section.
