McNees Attorney to Participate in Seminar Presented by U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Ohio

COLUMBUS, Oh. – (July 1, 2019) McNees Wallace & Nurick LLC attorney Karl Schneider is slated to serve on a panel discussing voir dire at the 45th Annual Federal Law Seminar presented by United States Attorney for the Southern District of Ohio, Benjamin C. Glassman. The two-day seminar to be held July 11-12, 2019 at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio is meant to advance professionalism and satisfy continuing legal education requirements.
On July 12, Karl, along with United States District Court Judge, Michael Watson and Assistant United States Attorney, David Bosley, will speak to various prosecutors, defense attorneys, court staff and agency counsel about the different aspects of voir dire, the process of questioning a potential juror or witness to determine their competency to serve in a case.
Karl is Chair of the McNees White Collar Defense Law & Internal Investigations Practice Group. He assists clients in investigations and prosecutions involving public corruption, bribery, money laundering, tax fraud, health care fraud, securities fraud, mortgage fraud, insurance fraud, Hobbs Act violations, mail fraud and wire fraud. He defends professional liability claims against various trades including, appraisers, real estate agents, insurance agents, mortgage brokers and auctioneers and litigates title insurance claims on behalf of title insurance underwriters. He has also litigated directors’ and officers’ liability claims and represented law enforcement officers in disciplinary and ethics’ inquiries.
