McNees Attorney Schaun Henry to Speak at 2017 Spring Human Resources Conference

HARRISBURG, PA – McNees Wallace & Nurick attorney Schaun Henry will speak at the 2017 Spring Human Resources Conference on March 23 at the Hershey Lodge.
The conference is organized by the PA Chamber and will offer SHRM, CLE, CPE, and HR Certification Institute credits.
Schaun will address, “The Warning Signs You May Have a Potential Retaliation Claim,” as well as the best practices, possible scenarios, and HR protocol in evaluating a potential claim.
A member of McNees’ Labor and Employment; Litigation; Privacy & Data Security; and Transportation, Distribution and Logistics practice groups, Schaun provides guidance for employers on unfair labor practices and other labor relations issues, as well as providing representation for employers at labor arbitrations and negotiations. He advises employers on a variety of personnel issues including hiring, termination, employment discrimination cases under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Americans With Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, and other federal, state and local issues.
Schaun provides assistance to public employers with respect to collective bargaining and other labor related issues under the Public Employee Relations Act, Act 111, and the Heart and Lung Act. He also assists employers in preparing and maintaining affirmative action plans.
Joining Schaun on the speakers’ lineup are Jonathan Segal, and Marc Sheiner, both of Duane Morris LLP, and Sergeant Jeffrey Dombrosky of the Pennsylvania State Police, who will speak about the Opioid/Heroin Action Program for Employers. The conference will be attended by human resources professionals, benefits specialists, workers’ compensation administrators, unemployment compensation administrators, small business owners, and HR consultants and attorneys.
The program begins with an 8 a.m. registration and ends at 3 p.m. Attendees will receive an electronic certificate of completion.
