WASHINGTON, D.C. (April 21, 2016) The law firm of McNees Wallace & Nurick is pleased to announce that Robert Weishaar has been named a 2016 DC Super Lawyer.
The polling, researching, and selecting of “Super Lawyers” is designed to identify Washington, DC lawyers who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. Only five percent of Washington, DC-area attorneys receive this honor.
Robert A. Weishaar, Jr. is Chair of the Energy & Environmental Group. In his practice, he focuses primarily on matters involving the state and federal regulation of electricity supply and delivery, natural gas supply and delivery, and oil pipelines. He has substantial experience with electric industry restructuring in wholesale and retail markets and has appeared before state regulatory commissions in Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Georgia, New Jersey, New York, Oklahoma, West Virginia, Virginia, Ohio, and Delaware, and also before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.
Bob has been recognized in The Best Lawyers in America®, for Energy Law, since 2013.
Bob received his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and his undergraduate degree from The American University. He is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the District of Columbia, and the State of Maryland. He is also admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court; and the United States Courts of Appeal for the First, Third, Fourth, Seventh, Ninth, and District of Columbia Circuits. He is a member and currently serves as Vice President of the Energy Bar Association, is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and its Public Utility Law Section, and is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association.
