McNees Announces the Passing of Vice Chair Mark Van Blargan

It is with great sadness that McNees Wallace & Nurick LLC announces the passing of McNees Vice Chair Mark Van Blargan. Mark was Chair of the Healthcare Practice Group, Member-in-Charge of Innovation, and a member of the Education Law Practice Group.
Mark started his career at McNees in 1989 and went on to serve as in-house counsel for a large health system in Pennsylvania. Mark returned to McNees in 1997 and was instrumental in the development of the Firm’s Healthcare Practice. Mark also emulated the civic service that McNees strives to offer in our community, serving as Chair of the WITF Board of Directors and as a member of the Susquehanna Arts Museum Board of Directors.
“During his time at McNees, Mark was an excellent attorney, colleague, mentor, and most importantly a devoted and selfless friend. He will be missed greatly,” said McNees Chair Brian Jackson. “Our thoughts are with Mark’s family and friends during this very difficult time.”
