McNees Adds to State and Local Tax Practice Group

HARRISBURG, Pa. – (January 13, 2021) McNees Wallace & Nurick LLC is pleased to announce the addition of Adam Koelsch to the firm’s State and Local Tax Practice Group.
Before joining McNees, Adam was Senior Counsel at a firm in the Philadelphia area and was a manager at a national accounting firm. In those roles, he represented and advised clients in various state and local tax matters, primarily in Pennsylvania. During his time in Philadelphia, Adam represented the city as a Deputy City Solicitor in the Law Department, Tax Unit, at hearings before the Philadelphia Tax Review Board, and in tax appeals and collection actions in the Court of Common Pleas. Adam began his career as a prosecutor in the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office, one of the country’s largest prosecutor’s offices. While there, he became a Senior Appellate Attorney, writing and editing appellate briefs and regularly arguing in the New York state appellate courts.
Adam earned his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School, his LL.M. in Taxation from Villanova University, Charles Widger School of Law and his undergraduate degree from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
