Lancaster, Pa. – (April 11, 2018) McNees Wallace & Nurick LLC Attorney Kendra D. McGuire was named as a 2018 Women of Influence award winner by the Central Penn Business Journal.
The Women of Influence Awards honors established business leaders with proven track records of community service and business accomplishments, and who influence others through their personal successes and achievements.
Honorees are selected by a panel of independent judges. They chose 30 women based on five categories: career accomplishments, leadership, personal/business vision, community service, and mentoring.

Bringing her clients over 25 years of experience as a litigator, Kendra works to successfully resolve legal problems and disputes for her clients. Her representative clients include financial institutions, companies, shareholders, educational organizations, healthcare institutions and providers, charities and individuals. Focusing on litigation for her entire career, Kendra’s courtroom experience includes numerous jury trials, injunction proceedings, hearings, and mediations.
Kendra focuses her practice in Orphans’ Court and fiduciary litigation. Kendra works with trust officers, estate administrators, financial institutions, financial advisors, brokers, colleges and other educational institutions, charities, investment advisors, financial planners, securities firms, and individuals to assist them in all matters related to their role as a fiduciary, stakeholder or beneficiary.
Kendra litigates disputes related to all aspects of the fiduciary’s duty. She has assisted fiduciary clients in all aspects of trust administration, including termination, revocation, cy pres and modification matters. She has litigated trustee removal actions and other trust matters involving trust interpretation, discretionary distributions, fiduciary accounting principles, surcharge actions, and situs as well as disputes involving fee and commissions. She has assisted fiduciary clients and beneficiaries in all aspects of estate administration, powers of attorney and guardianships. Her experience includes representation and counseling of shareholders, both majority and minority shareholders, in all manner of disputes under shareholder agreements.
Kendra works closely with corporate fiduciaries, not only to meet litigation goals, but in recognition that corporate fiduciaries must maintain unique relationships with any number of individuals, companies, vendors and governmental and regulatory bodies.
Kendra has litigated fiduciary matters and has advised clients on fiduciary matters throughout Pennsylvania. She has argued and handled fiduciary matters before the Superior and Supreme Courts of Pennsylvania. She has been appointed by judges and chosen by her peers to serve as a mediator of fiduciary matters. She has also served and has been qualified as an expert in fiduciary matters both in Pennsylvania and in the UK.
Kendra works collaboratively with out-of-state lawyers and law firms when they find themselves litigating in the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Middle Districts of Pennsylvania and in Pennsylvania state courts.
