HARRISBURG, Pa. — (July 29, 2024) McNees Wallace & Nurick healthcare transactional and regulatory compliance attorney Julia Coelho was named one of City & State Pa.’s most impactful healthcare professionals. The inaugural Healthcare Trailblazers honorees are those who ensure the well-being of Pennsylvania’s residents, medical infrastructure and health workforce.
Coelho routinely represents hospitals, ambulatory surgical facilities, long term care facilities, provider groups and other healthcare organizations on transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, strategic affiliations, reorganizations, mergers, and joint ventures. She also advises clients on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and general contractual matters and works with clients on facility licensing issues, Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement, and Fraud and Abuse issues, including compliance with Stark and Anti-Kickback laws. Coelho grew up in Brazil until permanently moving to the United States in 2003 and earned her J.D. from Widener University School of Law, cum laude.
