McNees attorneys Frannie Reilly, Devin Chwastyk receive DCBA award

HARRISBURG, Pa. — (Oct. 2, 2024) McNees Wallace & Nurick attorneys Martha “Frannie” Reilly and Devin Chwastyk received the Dauphin County Bar Association’s newly created Hon. John F. Cherry Award at a presentation on Sept. 25. The award recognizes association members who have demonstrated an exceptional level of service to the DCBA with legal advice and behind-the-scenes support.
Reilly and Chwastyk were two of the five attorneys recognized with this award – Reilly for her contributions to a recent fundraising initiative and Chwastyk for five years of service as vice-chair of the association’s Equal Professional Opportunity Committee.
Reilly is co-chair of McNees’ Public Finance and Government Services group and chair of the firm’s Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) and Charitable and Nonprofit Groups. She has extensive experience serving as bond, borrower, institution and underwriter’s counsel to issuers, colleges, universities, schools, health care institutions, state agencies and investment banking firms. Reilly also advises businesses of all sizes on the development and implementation of corporate policies, best practices and corporate governance and has served as outside general counsel to numerous nonprofit organizations, including colleges, universities, charter schools and foundations.
Chwastyk is co-chair of McNees’ Privacy and Data Security Group. He began working on cybersecurity matters nearly two decades ago and his clients prevailed in some of the first successful data breach lawsuits in U.S. federal court. He counsels businesses on compliance with emerging privacy laws, represents parties in data breach litigation and helps clients respond to data security incidents. Chwastyk also focuses on complex commercial litigation with an emphasis on defending class action lawsuits.
