McNees advises Evangelical Community Hospital in their partnership with WellSpan Health

York, Pa. (February 26, 2024) — McNees Wallace & Nurick represented Evangelical Community Hospital in its recently announced move to join WellSpan Health, expanding the combined reach of the organizations across 12 counties in central Pennsylvania and northern Maryland.
Pending regulatory approval, Evangelical Community Hospital will become WellSpan Evangelical Community Hospital on or after July 1, 2024. Together, more than 1.3 million patients across 12 counties will be served through their mutual commitment to reimaging health care through exceptional, innovative clinical care and approach to value and superior outcomes that are affordable and convenient.
Evangelical Community Hospital serves communities in Central Susquehanna Valley, including Lycoming, Northumberland, Snyder and Union Counties, and provides a comprehensive array of services in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The facility is the only Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) 5-star rated hospital in the region.
WellSpan Health is an integrated health care delivery system with 220 locations and eight award-winning hospitals, including the region’s largest behavioral health network and Level 1 Trauma Center. It currently serves residents in Adams, Cumberland, Lancaster, Lebanon, Franklin and York Counties in Pennsylvania and Frederick and Washington Counties in Maryland.
