McNees Attorneys Named to Business, Legal Community Leadership Positions

HARRISBURG, Pa. — (February 14, 2022) Two McNees Wallace & Nurick attorneys were named to business and legal community leadership positions in Dauphin County.
Shawn K. Leppo, co-chair of the McNees Intellectual Property Group, was named treasurer of Capital Region Economic Development Corporation’s Board. The Harrisburg Regional Chamber & CREDC serve as a catalyst for promoting growth and quality of life in Cumberland, Dauphin and Perry Counties through bold leadership, visionary members and powerful results.
Leppo, who has been a member of CREDC’s executive board for five years and previously served as its secretary, regularly speaks and writes on patent law and other intellectual property topics of interest. His practice includes advice and counseling on all aspects of intellectual property law with a focus on patent matters, including patent prosecution, enforcement, licensing and risk avoidance strategies. Leppo also serves on the executive board of the Boy Scouts of America’s New Birth Freedom Council and is a member of the York Springs Lions Club and Susquehanna Section of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers.
White collar defense lawyer Sarah Hyser-Staub was elected to the Dauphin County Bar Association’s Board of Directors at its annual meeting. The DCBA is a professional organization with over 1,500 lawyers actively engaged in various programs of public service, professional development and personal interaction.
Hyser-Staub practices in the McNees Litigation and White Collar Defense Law & Internal Investigations Practice Groups. She represents individuals and entities accused of violating federal and state law, conducts internal investigations and provides guidance on internal corporate compliance. Hyser-Staub also serves her community as a member of the YWCA of Greater Harrisburg’s Junior Board and Harrisburg Rotary Club. She was part of Leadership Harrisburg’s Class of 2020.
