Dauphin County Bar Association names Pamela Polacek as President

“I’m honored to hold the gavel of such an outstanding organization,” Polacek said. “The members of Dauphin County Bar Association are a wonderful asset to the legal community and Dauphin County. I’m confident that 2015 will be a great year for us.”
Polacek practices in the energy, communications and utility law practice group. She has extensive experience in implementing electric supply competition in Pennsylvania and other states, and advises clients regarding commercial, legal, regulatory, and legislative opportunities and risks in the electric and natural gas industries. She assists clients in analyzing and negotiating wholesale and retail natural gas and electricity contracts, as well as addressing other utility service requirements. Polacek also represents and advises cable telephone providers, local exchange carriers and interexchange carriers before various state and federal administrative agencies and courts.
Polacek previously served DCBA as vice president, secretary, young lawyers section chair and as a member of the board of directors. She has held several leadership positions with the Pennsylvania Bar Association.

Polacek earned her bachelor’s degree from St. Joseph’s University and her law degree from Duke University School of Law.
