HARRISBURG, Pa. – (November 6, 2020) McNees Wallace & Nurick LLC attorney Paul Morcom will provide an update on Pennsylvania property taxes during the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants’ (PICPA) web conference Tax Con on Wednesday, November 11, 2020.
Paul will outline how COVID-19 impacted real estate value and provide insight into the current state of taxing jurisdiction appeals post-Valley Forge Towers and recent assessment appeal decisions from Commonwealth Court.

Paul practices in the McNees State and Local Tax Practice Group, where he represents commercial and industrial entities in all areas of state and local taxation, focusing on local property taxes and real estate assessment appeals, as well as state corporate net income, capital stock/foreign franchise, sales and use, PURTA, and gross receipts taxes. He is Past Chair of the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Tax Law Section and coauthor of the leading Pennsylvania assessment law treatise, “Assessment Law and Procedure in Pennsylvania.”
