HARRISBURG, Pa. – (September 1, 2020) McNees Wallace & Nurick LLC labor & employment attorney Anne Zerbe will present “Politics in the Workplace: It’s Not Just about Elections Anymore” for the Lancaster Society for Human Resource Management’s 2020 Fall Legal Update. The virtual event is being held on Friday, September 11, 2020.
Participants will discover strategies to effectively address and identify the difference between protected and unprotected speech, while considering social media implications in the workplace. Anne will discuss the politicizing of COVID-19 and outline best practices for employers to effectively address politics. She will use hypotheticals to help participants utilize effective strategies to manage highly charged situations.
Anne’s practice focuses on preventing employment liability, defending against employment claims, and assisting clients with compliance issues concerning the multitude of employment laws and regulations governing employers. She counsels employers, practice groups and health care providers on employment law compliance, risk management and HIPAA compliance. Additionally, Anne serves as special counsel for investigations and is a trusted resource to handle executive terminations.
