Andrew is a member of the firm’s Labor and Employment Group. He is an experienced counselor, litigator, and negotiator committed to providing outstanding client service.
Andrew serves as primary outside employment counsel to many employers – from large national employers to mid-sized family businesses. Andrew has broad knowledge of the full range of employment laws and regularly works with clients to find practical solutions to the most challenging workplace issues. During the COVID-19 pandemic he has been a trusted advisor and works closely with many clients to develop employment law compliance strategies, workplace safety guidelines and training materials. He has also presented many webinars on employment-related COVID-19 topics, including FFCRA compliance.
Andrew represents employers in class action wage and hour litigation in federal and state courts, and has defended class claims relating to independent contractor classification, off-the clock work, and overtime regular rate issues. He also litigates employment discrimination and discriminatory harassment claims in federal and state courts and before the EEOC and other administrative agencies.
Andrew’s labor practice involves representing management in collective bargaining negotiations, labor arbitrations, and in NLRB proceedings.
Andrew also represents many construction contractors with respect to labor and employment issues facing the industry, including compliance with prevailing wage laws and multi-employer defined benefit pension plan issues, including withdrawal liability. He has experience representing clients in Department of Labor investigations and OSHA proceedings.
