McNees Attorney to Take Part in ABA Webinar on Medical Marijuana and the Workplace

LANCASTER, Pa. – (August 13, 2018) McNees Wallace & Nurick LLC attorney, Denise Elliott, will serve as a panelist in the American Bar Association webinar titled “Medical Marijuana: What Employers Need to Know” on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
The panel will provide lawyers with guidance on whether and how to accommodate their employees who use marijuana for medial purposes or for off-duty personal consumption. The program will review relevant federal and state case law, cover interaction between state and federal laws, and explore mandated drug testing policies.
Denise is a member of the McNees Labor and Employment Practice Group where she focuses her practice on defending self-insured employers in workers compensation matters and providing representation and counsel to clients in employment discrimination litigation, ADA/FMLA compliance, safety drug and alcohol testing, and health issues. She is a certified specialist in the practice of workers’ compensation law by the Pennsylvania Bar Association Workers’ Compensation Law Section.
The webinar is approved for 1.50 General CLE Credit Hours.
