HARRISBURG, Pa. – (May 15, 2018) McNees Wallace & Nurick LLC attorney Michael Doctrow is representing the owners of Kentucky Derby winner and Triple Crown hopeful, Justify. Justify did not race as a two year old, but is undefeated as a three year old.
Mike and his team are handling the legal side of branding, marketing, endorsements, sponsorships for Justify, and, hopefully, will handle book and movie rights if Justify continues his success story.
Justify is co-owned by WinStar Farm in Kentucky, Head of Plains Partners LLC, Starlight Racing in Kentucky and the China Horse Club in China. Justify is the favorite to win the Preakness in Baltimore this weekend.
Mike has represented previous Kentucky Derby winners including, among others, Smarty Jones, Barbaro, California Chrome and Nyquist.
Mike is Co-Chair of the McNees Intellectual Property Practice Group, and practices trademark, copyright, trade secret and advertising law with a focus on trademark clearance, registration and protection, copyright protection, and advertising and branding strategies.
