HARRISBURG, PA – McNees Wallace & Nurick member Donna L. Kreiser was named as a 2017 Women of Influence award winner by the Central Penn Business Journal.
The Women of Influence Awards honors established business leaders with proven track records of community service and business accomplishments, and who influence others through their personal successes and achievements.
Honorees are selected by a panel of independent judges. They chose 25 women based on five categories: career accomplishments, leadership, personal/business vision, community service, and mentoring.
“Leading by example, supporting the advancement of women in both law and finance, Donna is a first-class lawyer with an exceptional track record of achieving excellent results for our clients,” David Kleppinger, Chairman of McNees Wallace & Nurick, said. “We are very pleased that Donna is the recipient of this well-deserved honor.”
A Lancaster County resident, Kreiser is on the firm’s Management Committee, and is the first woman to serve in this capacity. She is co-chair of the Financial Services and Public Finance practice group, and chair of the Public Sector Group. She focuses her practice on municipal and project finance law, including economic development, transportation, government, health care, and education.
Since 2013, Kreiser has been recognized as The Best Lawyers in America®. She currently serves as vice chair of the Board of Trustees of Junior Achievement of South Central Pennsylvania.
Kreiser is the founding secretary of Ladies First, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing educational and networking opportunities for female public finance professionals in the Mid-Atlantic region, and promoting the role of women in the public finance industry. She is also a former chairperson of the Pennsylvania Commission of Women.
Kreiser is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and the Federal District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania. She received her J.D. from the The University of Pittsburgh School of Law and earned her bachelor’s degree from Shippensburg University. She works in the firm’s Lancaster office.
