HARRISBURG, PA (March 16, 2016) – McNees is pleased to announce that attorney Timothy M. Finnerty has been recognized as the Gary Yenkowski Award recipient for 2015. The Yenkowski Award is given to a Member each year in honor of deceased McNees Partner, Gary Yenkowski. Award recipients demonstrate paramount professionalism, dedication to effective marketing and loyalty and commitment to client service, the community and the Firm.
Tim Co-Chairs the Firm’s Corporate & Tax Group and also practices in the Estate Planning and International Law Groups. In his practice, he focuses on federal tax law, corporate law and estate planning. He acts as outside corporate counsel to several closely held companies. Tim, who is also a CPA, advises his corporate clients and their owners on tax planning and other transactional issues, including structuring mergers, acquisitions, tax-free/deferred exchanges, financings, entity formations and liquidations.
He has been recognized as one of the Best Lawyers in America© Trusts and Estates, and Closely Held Companies and Family Business Law and has received the highest peer review rating of AV from Martindale Hubble. Tim serves on the Board of Directors for Caitlin’s Smiles and the Family Support of Central Pennsylvania and is a member of the Advisory Committee for MidPenn Legal Services Low Income Tax Clinic. He is also a member of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Federal Tax Committee.
Tim is a graduate of the University of Scranton and Widener University School of Law. He is admitted to practice in the State of Pennsylvania, before the United States District Court for the Middle District, the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and the United States Tax Court. He is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association Tax Law Section and the Dauphin County Bar Association.
