Gelareh T. Etesam is a corporate and tax attorney who assists clients with corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, financings and similar commercial transactions. She also provides general corporate compliance counsel for businesses across various industries. 

Prior to joining McNees, Gelareh gained valuable experience through judicial internships with the Honorable Yvette Kane at the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania and the Honorable Michelle H. Sibert at the Cumberland County Court of Common Pleas. She also gained experience in a range of practice areas through internships at two law firms in central Pennsylvania.  

Gelareh earned her J.D. from Penn State Dickinson Law, where she was an active member of the Dickinson Law National Moot Court Team Advisory Board and received the Center for Computer-Assisted Legal Instruction (CALI) Award in Legal Research II. She served as a research assistant and a teaching assistant. Gelareh graduated magna cum laude from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science, with a focus on legal studies. A native of northern Virginia, she is fluent in Farsi/Persian.
