HARRISBURG, Pa. — (June 26, 2024) McNees today announced experienced financial leader Sara Reohr joined the firm as its Chief Financial Officer.
Reohr leads McNees’ strategic financial initiatives, collaborating with firm leadership to achieve financial goals and longevity. She has a proven track record of managing large teams, fostering collaborative relationships, ensuring regulatory compliance and leveraging her background in public accounting to improve business controls and financial performance.
“Our delivery of the trusted legal and business service on which our clients have come to rely requires a nimble and creative leadership team that is willing to find solutions,” McNees Chair Brian Jackson said. “Sara’s experience and working style are completely aligned with these expectations. We are very confident that Sara will be a significant part of our continued growth and evolution as an organization.”
Before joining the firm, Reohr oversaw growth in revenue and scale and successfully implemented efficiency-enhancing systems and processes as vice president and controller for a major U.S. provider of rehabilitation hospitals and clinics. She is a certified public accountant and earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting from The Pennsylvania State University, graduating magna cum laude.
“The McNees team’s commitment to client service and its forward-thinking vision really resonated with me,” Reohr said. “As a growing and evolving firm, McNees offers a dynamic environment and culture where I can leverage my skills to meaningfully contribute to the success of our clients and this incredible group of professionals. I’m thrilled to be joining McNees and look forward to the opportunities ahead.”
With Reohr joining, women represent half of the firm’s senior leadership team, including Vice Chair Nicole Stezar Kaylor, Chief Practice Officer Jenna Wagner and Reohr as Chief Financial Officer. In addition, 11 of the firm’s 13 directors and managers and seven of 15 attorney practice group leaders are women.
Over the last 18 months, McNees has pursued a path of geographic and service expansion, opening a new office in Baltimore County, Md., and relocating the Columbus, Oh., office to the city’s arena district; launching three teams practicing environmental, social and governance, professional licensing and ethics and name, image and likeness law; and making significant hires in the construction, real estate, corporate, litigation, public finance and automotive dealership disciplines. Each expansion has enhanced the firm’s ability to serve clients and meet their increasingly complex needs as trusted advisors.
