McNees Wallace & Nurick represented Columbia, Pa.-based Winter Equipment Corporation in its recently announced acquisition by Groveport, Ohio-based Komar Industries.

Winter Equipment Corporation is a distributor of waste-handling and recycling equipment throughout the eastern U.S. since 1992. Winter sells and installs new and used equipment from leading waste and recycling equipment manufacturers including Komar, PTR and others. In addition, Winter services field equipment and refurbishes used equipment that is either sold or placed into a large rental fleet.

Headquartered in Groveport, OH, Komar is a leading designer and manufacturer of industrial waste and recycling processing systems. The company started by specializing in auger processing technology but now provides a comprehensive portfolio of products, including balers (vertical and horizontal), compactors (auger, stationary, self-contained), industrial shredders, continuous feed systems, flatteners, dewatering systems, and organic separation presses. Established in 1977, Komar’s products enable its customers to improve their processing of waste streams (e.g., corrugate, wood, e-waste, organics, mixed waste) while reducing their carbon footprint and their transportation, energy, maintenance and labor costs.
