HARRISBURG, Pa. — (June 16, 2022) McNees Wallace & Nurick Chair Brian F. Jackson was elected by Team Pennsylvania Foundation’s Board of Directors as Co-Chair at its recent annual meeting.
Jackson will lead the Foundation’s 39-member board alongside Gov. Tom Wolf. The non-partisan, not-for-profit foundation was established in 1997 as a dynamic, public-private partnership that initiates and supports innovative programs to improve Pennsylvania’s competitiveness and economic prosperity.
Team Pennsylvania’s diverse group of private sector executives and state government leadership works together to accelerate the commonwealth’s long-term economic future.
“I’m looking forward to working with Brian as our new private sector co-chair. His leadership over the past several years has been instrumental as we navigated many organizational transitions,” Abby Smith, president and CEO of Team Pennsylvania Foundation, said. “As we celebrate 25 years, McNees Wallace & Nurick has been there at every step of the way as a founding investor and longstanding board member, so it feels especially appropriate to welcome Brian in this position.”
Jackson, a passionate public servant, has been a director with Team Pennsylvania since 2019 and a member of its Audit, Finance and Executive Committees. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the United Way of the Capital Region, as Vice-Chair of the 2022 United Way Campaign and as Chair of the Board of Directors of Trinity High School.
A member of McNees for almost 30 years, Jackson is the ninth person to serve as Managing Partner and Chair since the firm’s inception in 1935. McNees has pursued a path of geographic and service expansion, opening new offices in York, Devon and Pittsburgh as well as launching multiple complementary professional businesses during his four-year tenure. Each expansion has enhanced the firm’s ability to serve Clients, meeting their expectations as trusted advisors.
“I am honored to be serving Team Pennsylvania in a new way at such an exciting point in its 25-year history,” Jackson said. “Our Board and staff are committed to new initiatives in the areas of economic development, education and workforce development, agriculture and energy that will improve Pennsylvania’s competitive position.”
