Brian F. Jackson

Profile

Brian joined McNees Wallace & Nurick in 1994 as an associate in Labor and Employment Practice Group.  During his tenure, Brian has served as a Practice Group Leader (2002-2017) and Vice Chair of the Management Committee (2005-2018).  On November 1, 2018, Brian was elected Chair of the Firm.  Following in the very large footsteps of Sterling McNees, Gilbert Nurick, John Oyler, and David Kleppinger among others, Brian became the ninth person to serve as Managing Partner/Chair since the Firm’s inception in 1935.

During Brian’s tenure as Chair, McNees has pursued a path of geographic and service expansion, as the Firm has opened new offices in York, Devon, Pittsburgh and Frederick and launched multiple complementary professional businesses.  Each expansion has enhanced our ability to serve our clients and meet their expectations as trusted advisors.

While his primary focus is on serving the Firm, Brian continues to represent employer clients, predominantly as lead negotiator in collective bargaining and as counsel in labor arbitration matters.

Consistent with McNees’ tradition of servant leadership, Brian also serves our communities.  Along with Governor Josh Shapiro, he is  Co-Chair of Team Pennsylvania, a public-private partnership that initiates and supports innovative programs to improve Pennsylvania’s competitiveness and economic prosperity.  Brian also serves on the Board of Directors of the United Way of the Capital Region and will Chair the United Way Campaign in 2023.  Brian is Past Chair of the Board of Directors of Trinity High School and continues to serve as a Director.

Brian has a passion for youth basketball and has coached for the St. Joseph Chargers in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania and Mid Penn Motion (AAU). Brian resides in Mechanicsburg with his wife, Amy, his youngest daughter and their two crazy dogs.
